Remembering

The day the Queen Mum opened our new school building (now demolished). We were sent home at lunchtime to get ready and I remember my mum telling me about the terrible disaster in Wales and suddenly Aberfan became a name you'd never forget. Later I sent a10 shilling postal order to the relief appeal.

50 years later we remember.
