Emerging...

The Fly agarics Amanita muscaria, are just beginning to emerge at the local green near where I live. They are a bit late this year probably due to how dry it has been,  and possibly slightly smaller, but magically beautiful none the less.
I chose this shot, because it gives a sense of being down in the grass actually with the toadstall - and yes I did lie on my stomach on the grass in full view of the local shoppers to take it!!!!
