Something Beautiful - 'Cause You Were All Yellow

I don't often photograph bumble bees as many are black and furry - very difficult to capture effectively, like black cats or dogs. I do love shooting small solitary bees though.

This bee caught my eye because it was, or seemed to be, yellow. It was sitting on a dead bramble twig waving its 'arms'. A sure sign of distress. I transferred it to a white dead nettle flower and it dived in.

I think it might be some sort of carder bee. They usually have a ginger look but the body of mine is plastered with bright yellow pollen making identification difficult. Would be nice if it is a brown banded carder bee.
