At the Farmer's Market

The weather was lovely today after days and days of rain. I didn't really mind the rain as we needed it. But now we are above the average for the year so a day of cool breezes and sun and clouds was welcome.

Arvin and I started our day at the Farmer's Market where we met Helena. We bought veggies, bread and fruit and enjoyed the atmosphere of the market. Then we drove to Haggen's to do our shopping. We had an hour to eat lunch before heading down to Anacortes to spend the day with Dave and Nora.

It was the open art studio weekend in Anacortes and we visited a number of artists in their studios. I really enjoy doing that, seeing artists' work and where they do it, and talking with friends old and new. It was delightful.

At five when the studios closed we headed to the Brown Lantern for dinner. As always we enjoyed the food and atmosphere of this tavern which caters to all ages and has a friendly atmosphere and good food.

We dropped Helena off on the way home and watched some TV before an early bedtime. A very nice day all together.
