Village life

Took a walk through the village this afternoon, and it’s times like these that I really do know why we have chosen to live in this corner of Hampshire for so long.
In fact in this village for the greater part of our lives.  We had two spells of living in the city and while urban life offers plenty of convenience, I doubt you can beat the sheer beauty of a rural community.
I would not decry any of the classic familiar sights we have experienced on our travels, and I am delighted to have been fortunate to have been to places like Vatican City, seen Mount Fuji, sailed in San Francisco bay,  lazed in the sun on the beach of Waikiki, and walked the delights of the Scottish Highlands.

But home is a different matter. As they say there’s nothing quite like the green, green grass of home.
