Aperture on Life

Ruby Tiger

So late this evening! Busy busy afternoon.

This is a Ruby Tiger Moth, Phragmatobia fuliginosa. Found widely throughout Britain it's a beautiful rusty red moth. They tend to be more colourful in the South than in Scotland. This image isn't good. I had the light too close and it over exposed, then, as moths do, it vanished into the bowels of my house as I moved the light back. I'll have to see if I can find it in daylight!

Never do things in a hurry!
