The leaving of Crail

This is the view from the top of the coastal path at Roome Bay, Crail - just a few steps across the road from Sandcastle Cottage, where we've spent a happy holiday this year.

However, one of our family, who is going through the trauma of teenage sleep patterns, rarely sees this morning view. And due to the difficulties of trying to balance a family group's needs we decided to leave Crail this evening for our short journey home, rather than leave it till tomorrow and have the hassle of getting her up and out of the cottage by 10:00 am.

We had a glorious day pottering about while Sandy went off for a game of golf at Balcomie, and we welcomed a surprise visit from friends with whom we wandered along to the ice cream shop and Crail Pottery before a trip to enjoy the sunshine at the beach.
