The hunter and the hunted

I really only wanted the image of the flower spidey because she's so cute, but as always the camera gives you a lovely surprise.  And you get to see what she's aiming to have to dinner. 

But I suspect I might have wrecked those plans, because my shadow moved across the flower, and she fled under the petals.

I haven't sprayed any chemicals at all in my garden for more than 20 years. 

It really pays off in the insect photography department, as well as protecting all those predatory insects that keep my patch mostly free of sap-sucking insects.
