The Heat Is On

Sheffield today, our final southern fixture before we return home again.

After two narrow losses in Leicester and Somerset, confidence was high for another close encounter, this time with the Tigers.

My Girl & I watched as the teams mechanics prepared the bikes for racing.

Ear defenders are a must have if you're in such close proximity for any length of time.

We took lots of photos, well you've got to if you're given the chance.

We then went up to the trackside restaurant, where we sat and watched most of the racing whist having a roast dinner!

No burger and chips for us tonight.

A £2 million refurb of the facilities must make this stadium one of the best speedway tracks in the country.

And for the Monarchs it proved true too!

Going into Heat 15 the scores were Tigers 41, Monarchs 43

A 4-2 win in the last race gave us our first away victory of the tour.

Hopefully it won't be the last either!
