Sgwarnog: In the Field

Gaol

We had a diverting afternoon in gaol, but secured our release with good behaviour and cardboard cutout bats.

The former Ruthin Gaol has been developed for visitors, with a focus on the residents and inmates recorded at the 1911 census. 12yo was intrigued to find an exact namesake who'd been imprisoned for stealing a shirt.

Given the proximity of Halloween there were additional spooky activities to keep the kids diverted, although thankfully no clowns.
