Mayfield Lavender

The WI visited Mayfield Lavender Farm near Banstead. We wandered along the rows of the sweet smelling lavender, and cameras were working overtime, trying to capture the beautiful shade of lilac.
South London used to be the home of many lavender farms but when disease struck they relocated to Norfolk. Now a young couple have brought lavender back to the area and farm 150,000 lavender plants.
