Oleander

A friend gave me a tiny oleander cutting many years ago, as a houseplant. It eventually got too large so I put it outside to take its chances and it has flourished. It hasn't been fazed by sub zero temperatures and heavy snowfalls. I thought it was supposed to be a tropical shrub! It is now over five ft tall with several stems, all of which have a cluster of these pretty pink flowers near the top. Oleander is very poisonous so I make sure the children know not to touch it.
