Keep trying

This wrought iron work is in the centre of Leatherhead. The roundels represent the different forms of transport. In the background are the local roads and the M25, and in the foreground are the river and the railway. They were made at the local foundry, the Fire and Iron Gallery and are part of an elaborate art work at the end of the High Street. Poor Leatherhead never seems to get it right. The narrow High Street was pedestrianised a good few years ago now, and since then there have been regular "improvements", none of which lasted very long. And still the town doesn't attract the shoppers. Now its future is under discussion again. I hope they don't get rid of the iron work, I like it!
