A long awaited treasure

When I first started running a moth trap again after a few years of raising my children this  Figure of Eight Diloba caeruleocephala was one of the first moths I caught, that was 5 years ago now, and last night I caught another one!!!
The figure of Eight (named after the markings on the wings that look like 8's) is fairly common in the UK, and flies in late autumn, and as you can see is very furry and ready for the cool chilly autumnal nights
