Steaming through

Mr U&L had an appointment at East Grinstead hospital this morning and on the way home we did a slight detour to Sharpthorne to admire some of the engines in steam for the Bluebell railway's Giants of Steam' weekend.
This is an LNER B12 8572 (on loan from the North Norfolk railway) steaming tender first through what remains of West Hoathly station on it's way to Horsted Keynes.
I quite liked the disused siding and buffers in the foreground, and the huge reels of wire, just left in a pile, like the whole line ceased operation  quite suddenly
