Silly Swee'pea

There'a a tiny stream we cross on our regular walk - very near the bottom of our driveway - a trickle that dries up if we don't get rain for a few weeks. When the weather is warm, and there is water in the creek, Swee'pea likes to sort of flop down next to it when we're almost home and stick her front feet in it and then get a drink. She seems incapable of figuring out that she needs to drink from the area upstream of where she just put her feet, in order to avoid getting a lot of muck along with the water. This is her right front paw and some of the leaves that fill the stream. She is drinking to the left of her feet - the downstream side - instead of the right. You can see some of the muck she's stirred up on top of her paw.

Silly dog!
