Day 31 : Pink October

Breast Cancer Awareness Month : The Ferry Hotel

Today the 21 walkers headed to the Shotover River in Queenstown and walked up the true left of the Shotover River.  We crossed the old single lane bridge which has been restored, then had a look at the old Ferry Hotel (pictured), which is now a B & B.  It was built in 1868, and looks good painted pink!  We walked up river, and had our lunch on the river bank either in the sun or shade.  We then walked back passed the cars and under the new Shotover River Bridge.  After about 15 minutes we turned back and headed to Arrowtown for an ice cream, cold drink or coffee.  Not long before we were back home.

Later:  I have just been to an Angels and Hero's party at church.  Isn't the Pink Fairy just beautiful  (Extra)

Today is the last day I will be photographing specifically pink.  I have enjoyed the month, and plan to do it again next year.

Very many thanks to those of you who have regularly clicked here to enable someone to receive a free mammogram.  The site doesn't finish, so you are able to click every day of the year.  In fact I know that some of you have been clicking every day.  Thanks so much, it is very much appreciated.
