Life on the Good Intent

Last of the Sweetpeas

I picked this little bunch on Saturday, the last hardy survivors of the mildew that swept through the plants. The warmth of the sun through the glass filled the room with a final fragrant reminder of summer.
Now the mother plants are gone, their compost nourishing the borders for next summer's transience.
Soon these fragile beauties will be gone too. So the seasons come and go. Till next year.
