Phase 2

It dawned perfectly. The Boss was off to London on the 7.00 train and I did frantic moving things until the movers came just after 9.00.  They cracked on and with copious hots drinks were done by 14.00 hours. This is them reversing away with all our chattels save a few (see next day).

There was one hiccup when I couldn't get the table apart and fiddled with an adjustable wrench for half an hour barking my knuckles and leaving little blood crescents on the oak for posterity.

I knocked around the empty house sorting last things - keys, cleaning, trying to work out what to do with those last things. Then a couple of quick goodbyes as the light faded and over to Deal to meet The Boss off the train and to the Wellington Room at The Royal on the seafront.

Funny. we'd been in Kent for six and a half years and never been to The Royal before. But we were too tired to make the most of it. Still, the waves thumped on the beach outside and we got some sleep before the alarm.
