Ullswater with Water

What a contrast today has been. After three glorious days of weather in the Lake District, today was different. We arrived at Ulswater in the rain and it continued in varying strengths until lunchtime. A good challenge to photograph in these conditions, the autumn colours really shone out. I've chosen something a little different for the blip though making the most of the haze in the downpour. After lunch and with the rain easing off, we went to the other side of Ulswater, through Pooley Bridge and on to Martindale for some elevated (and classic Lake District) views. A couple of extras included, one in the trees by Ulswater and the other from Martindale.

It has been a great week at LPH with John Gravett, some new things learnt, some great reminders of things I should be doing anyway and some new friends made. Be good to get home to see Annie tomorrow though.
