Great Falls Park

It was a lovely morning to head to Great Falls Park in Virginia.  This site is part of the National Park Service and overlooks the Potomac River as it passes through Mather Gorge.  It is a wide expanse, and can be viewed from overlooks on this side of the river, as well as on the Maryland side.    My photo is missing a sense of perspective.  I don't know if kayakers are allowed in this portion of the river, but they would have demonstrated how large these rocks really are.
