Mid-afternoon

Back home and before we've time to draw breath, it's up town to a couple of arty things - firstly Dr Johnson Goes to Scotland where we were joined by long Juan. A great play with a couple of really strong leads.
Then a much needed haircut. Terry was appalled at the state of me and demanded that I tell him *exactly* what I wanted done with it. I felt genuinely embarrassed. Almost.
Later up to see I, Daniel Blake at the Filmhouse. I wasn't as gripped by it as I wanted to be, strangely enough, though it's a fine film. But afterwards there was a Q&A with Paul Laverty, the screenwriter who was just excellent. Passionate and persuasive and he shamefully made me think on how much more I could do for others. Much to ponder on.
