Spring Fungi

A long run of cool nights, warm sunshine, and almost daily rain has produced a lot of fungi. There have been several types of toadstool in odd corners, and the lawn is dotted with white puffballs.

Yesterday I took my tomato plants out to the greenhouse. I grew them from seed and they have spent their lives on a sunny windowsill. I won’t be planting them for a while because there’s still threat of frosts. It’s best to have them in one small area so that they are easy to cover at night.
