No Moonset This Morning

This morning the sky was blue, except over the mountains, where heavy clouds hid the setting moon. Foggy Peak, at the southern end of the Torlesse Range, has hardly any snow left.  There’s not much more on Mount Torlesse (see extra shot).

Today we had a wild nor’wester, with gusts that shook the house. It was cool outside and I was able to prepare the pots and buckets for planting in the greenhouse. It was a big job, seeing that each container had a share of potting mix, compost and bokashi. My son helped me with the heavy work. The plants- mostly tomatoes, as well as a cucumber and a sweet pepper, are waiting impatiently on the front windowsill. It’s still too early to plant them out. November frosts are killers. The hot weather we’ve been having lately is no indication that summer is here.

My moonset collection.
