Oatlands Girl

This sculpture by Scots artist Rob Mulholland is four metres high and made from marine-grade stainless steel.  It was unveiled in September by Scotland's First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon.

Oatlands is a district in Glasgow's south side.  After a long process of demolitions work started in 2005 to regenerate the area with new housing, a play area, community centre etc.

I drive through this area on my way home from church and today for the first time the lights turned red just as I reached Oatlands Girl.  No other cars blocking my view so passenger window down, point and shoot before the the lights changed.
