A carpet of beech leaves

A lovely walk starting from the cafe (no surprise there!) in Calderglen Country Park.  The path follows Calder Water .... needless to say L and I only walked part of the way.

The leaves were lying inches deep on the path.  They were reasonably dry so great fun to scuff through but once out in the open the path became very muddy and slippy so we turned back and went to the children's zoo where there is always something interesting to see.
