Learning day by day

Will is seven!

Cinnamon swirls for breakfast at his request. He had a goodly pile of presents/cards. He thought that Jim and I had given him a pair of PJ's and a bottle cage for his bike and was quite content. Little did he know what was nestling at the bottom of the pile. He almost fell of his chair when he opened an envelope that said "Once seen, never forgotten!" When he read that out Carys gasped, but it wasn't until he saw the tickets that he realised he was going to the Lion King and going on his birthday! He was so, so pleased.

Sausage sarnies for lunch and the icecream from Fabios before Will and I headed to London and C went to N&P's for a sleep over. Once in London I asked Will what he wanted to do, go for coffee was his reply! old before his time, but a chocolate baby 'cino was acquired and he sat happily reading and drinking for a good 30mins. We then wandered on to Covent Garden, avoided a human size Moomin, but managed to sneak into the Moomin shop, listened to the tail end of some buskers (one of Will's ambitions at seven is to play his violin in Covent Garden, preferably with Carys dancing to his music!) and then wandered to Bow Street to have a table for two at Pizza Express before heading down the street to the Lyceum.

We had second row seats in the Grand Circle (the highest up area in this particular theatre), they were fantastic. I came prepared with my two 'Snowman' blowup booster seats and he had a great view. I kept sneaking a look at him watching, he had a look of wonder on his face through out. It was wonderful.

Will managed to stay awake until Hatfield on the train, but because Carys wasn't at home Jim managed to come and pick us up from the station.

Will at seven:
Loves tennis and playing his violin
Is an Assistant Lodge Leader at Beavers
Is a complete and utter bookworm
Loves school and has good friends in years other than his own
Is in Level 4 (green hat) for swimming
Can still be picky about what he eats
Has a fantastic sense of humour but can be awful when tired
Is very affectionate and still likes 'nuggles before he gets up in the morning
