The Sound of Sunday

Leaf blowers and haggling

The boys on the porch (far right) were making an offer to blow the leaves for the homeowner.  The homeowner bellowed:  40 bucks?!!  It'll take you thirty minutes!  I'll give you 15.  Don't forget to blow the leaves into the street.*

I didn't hear the boys' response but heard the leaf blower fire up so I guess they came to an agreement.  Hilarious.

* This, by the way, is Portland's bizarre policy if you want to pay the city to pick up your leaves: Rake/blow 'em into the street.  Works fine unless it rains or there are cars parked (highly likely) which then creates epic clogs and street flooding.
