"Pillow" to post

Slept well, pretty chilly last night, lots of fireworks, quietened down before 11 so sleeping wasn't interrupted :-)

We were up reasonably early as we had plans today. I was off to see Mum and hub was going out for lunch with daughter.

I dropped hub off en route, after stopping to collect some bread, bacon, roast beef and ham so mum could choose what she wanted on her sandwich for lunch ;-)

Mum was happy after having had a nice birthday.....youngest and his wife took mum out for lunch. She had a couple phone calls from family, one from New Zealand. Two lots of friends popped round to see her, she had received 14 cards, probably,more than most people get ;-)

We had bacon and tomatoe sandwich, followed by a slice of lemon drizzle cake, made by one of her friends, which was delicious!!! Sis popped in for an hour too, as she didn't see mum for long yesterday because her dog Bailey, who you might recall from the odd blip, had to go to the vets....he has fluid on his lungs and wasn't breathing very well. He has meds. and is now improving thankfully.

I left mum her tea on a tray for later, some of the Thai curry and rice that I made yesterday, with a Bakewell tart, then dashed off to attend a Pelvic Floor Seminar bing held at our Pilates class. It was very informative, quite amusing in places........ but it did go on a little longer than we thought....... I didn't get home until 8.55pm, just in time for Mr Poldark thankfully ;-)

Today's blip was taken on our top road, it is about a mile from home. This is where I walk to watch and try and catch the herons, without much success so far....... but I did like the distant view of the wind farm, those "post" like chimneys and the skyscape with its "pillow" clouds ;-)
