It's In The Post

I decided to blip this after fellow Blipper LesleyB posted one (lol) yesterday. Her blip was of an old GR wall box, a Royal Mail posting box (LesleyB's wall Royal Mail posting box)

I'd never taken much notice of this one round the corner from my Northampton house and for the first time realise it is from Queen Victoria's reign - hence the 'VR' which means it was made and installed in the 1880s and is still going strong. They are made of cast iron and Wikipedia has a wealth of info at (Info about old wall Royal Mail posting boxes).
