Back at the palace

This morning, we flew back to Addis for our last couple of days in Ethiopia.

Spent the afternoon visiting the Ethnological Museum at the University, which is in walking distance from our hotel. I remembered what I dislike most about Addis Ababa - the fumes and the dust -  I had become used to the fresh air of the countryside.

The museum is housed in what used to be the palace of Haile Selassie. You can visit the "His n'Hers" bathrooms of Emperor and Empress (his blues, hers pink) and his bedroom (seen here), complete with a bullet hole in the mirror from the 1960 coup.

The extra is for Ceridwen :-)
