Well I know this isn't a very exciting photo, but I include it as an indication of the difficulties faced in communication and blipping while we were in Ethiopia. Not only did the state of emergency mean that Facebook, Whats App and even Blipfoto were blocked, but the technology for any kind of wifi was often lacking or out of date.

It meant that I did read two whole books while we were away ("The God of Small Things" and "The Cone Gatherers") but it must be very difficult fir Ethiopians who wish to use the internet for legitimate purposes.
