Rhubarb

Not as a bad a day as forecast for us today so we walked up to the WI Autumn market this morning.

Since then Chris has been busy making Rhubarb chutney.
The Rhubarb was frozen as we had a lot from our neighbour's garden earlier in the year. Ian always generously gave out his Rhubarb to the neighbour's as well as eating some himself every day. The house was rented after his death whilst his wife was in care. Keith, who rented the house, was happy for us to take some of the Rhubarb off his hands.

When Pat died earlier this year the house went on the market. The sign came down two weeks ago and new people have started arriving. It's a young couple and they haven't moved in but the last two weekends there has been lots of activity.
First all the heating was stripped out; today bathroom, kitchen, doors have gone in the skip, a clean sweep. They will have a lovely new home when it's time to move in.

I wonder if they will keep the Rhubarb?

In the meantime the smell of the vinegar has given me wonderfully clear sinuses!
