a lifetime burning

I'm not at all knowledgeable when it comes to fungi so, I have to admit that I don't have a clue what sort of mushrooms these are, but I was drawn to their repetition and structure.  They are growing on an old tree stump and are a light brown colour, so I'm guessing that they would probably be some sort of honey fungus.

Its been a very wet and overcast day here.  We've managed to get some useful jobs done, but its definitely not been a day for being outside.  I've taken Cathy shopping for furnishings, sorted out the tax return details ready for online filing, done my guitar practice for tomorrow's gig, and now I am just waiting for my bread to finish cooking.  Once that is done I must start preparing tonight's dinner for Cathy, but the sun will be over the yard arm by then and I can have a small beer while I cook and listen to some music. Its a very therapeutic way to spend an early Saturday evening.

After that?  Well I think we might give the Crown a go on Netflix tonight....
