Autumn at St Johns

It was an early start for Lady Marian this morning. We've been waiting for Frances to deliver her baby and it has dragged on for several days with here ending up in hospital and having a C-section rather than the home birth they had planned. Most communication has been on a private group in Facebook and at about half past three this morning it pinged again and at last young Hamish was born, weighing in at nine and a half pounds.

Marian's mother was a long time member of the British Legion so as we had to pop into Teignmouth, we stopped at the Garden of Rest on our way through the village and put a poppy on her stone.

The sun was shining beautifully on this lovely tree amidst the graves in the churchyard.
