Lilly Late

These lillies were growing outside our property amongst nettles & other wild things; so overgrown by nature that we only saw them in the Spring when they flowered. Two/three years ago we removed the fence & started to mow the lawn a bit further every week. (Both our property & the surrounding land belongs to the same landlord, so we weren't stealing anything, just changing the use). The lillies then became part of C's butterfly garden, but never flowered. Until now. At the end of summer!

Day felt more productive than yesterday. Frances spent the day in Londinium to get a new passport. We had the sushi, which was supposed to be her dinner for starters and are now having chicken & onion with sage from the garden & other nice things, such as sweet potato.
