MILA (... in the gloom)

11.5C dull and wet with rain most of the day. Light WSW/SW breeze

Grocery shopping over by mid morning. Maeve the Deerhound stayed at home.

Raining, so no beach walking today.

After lunch, and in the rain, Apothecary7 and I went across to the football pitch beside Aquilibrium to see if we could find Mother Shipton and her husband who were bringing kk to play football this afternoon. Fellow blipper found we had a chat and then we went back home to dry off and have some tea. Mother Shipton managed to find a point in the spectating later to come over for a chance to warm up and have a cuppa.

Later still Apothecary7 and I took Maeve the Deerhound for a wander along to the harbour and back home round town. The rain was lighter. It wasn't off. MILA was still at the new quay. Wood was being loaded on to another ship on the other side of the new quay. We didn't go along far enough to see it but the AIS website had it as RABA.

We could make out two naval vessels out near the NATO fuelling jetty and we noticed a few sailors in town in uniform. AIS only lists M107 HMS Pembroke as being there.

Afternoon music, BBC radio 2. Van Morrison, Keep Me Singing.
