Taking-on Supplies

A couple of days ago, both pipe-laying ships left their anchorages in Kirkcaldy Bay and headed down to Hound Point (presumably to refuel). Once the solitaire was finished, it headed straight out of the Forth and up to an oil platform in the North Sea to the east of Orkney.

I thought the Audacia would follow suit but no, it returned to anchor in front of my house. Tonight, a supply vessel was alongside as the last rays of the sun picked them out in all their glory.

Today's blip shows the pipe-laying ship 'Audacia' with the blue supply vessel 'MS Troms Capella' alongside.
