Cathedral Green

Demolition work is still ongoing in Cathedral Green as they work on the remains of the poor old Royal Clarence. We'll watch with interest to see what they manage to salvage and rebuild.

We stopped off in Exeter to cheer Ian up after an early trip to the hospital. It was very quiet at the hospital, thankfully, so we were only there an hour or so. Ian is more comfy now as they gave him some very strong painkillers to keep him going - but it looks like he is going to need an operation to sort it out. He had a similar operation on his other shoulder joint about 12 years ago. Something just seems to shift and it all gets out of alignment like shutting tectonic plates. Last time they had to chisel off a bit of bone to make things fit again. He is so not looking forward to that again - it is a bit of a brutal op!

Leo had a much more fun morning as we left him with mum and Dad when we headed out early to the hospital since waiting around in hospitals is no fun for adults let alone kids. They went out to breakfast and then he had fun playing footie with his mate next door.

We haven't done much else - just had a lazy old days
