Reason No. 1

We want a new kitchen adn this is one of the reasons why.  The cooking range is,as you see, 6 inches or so lower than the work surface. Correspondingly, the extractor hood is also lower.  And all of that means that I have to bend to cook, but have to watch out when I stand up because the hood is at JUST the right height to injure me and no-one else.

There was obviously no division of labour between the previous couple who  lived here when it came to cooking.  Cooking was Woman's Work.  Weirdly though all the work surfaces are higher.

I could spend way too long wondering about the thougth processes of 2 very weird people and so I'll not bother.

This is a bit of emergency Blip because today was horrible, we were cloaked in fog and rain for the whole day.  And work was.... thankfully finished at 5.
