The early days of a better nation

I went out for a few messages earlier (I never fail to be shocked at the price of postage stamps) and did gaze about in hope of a blip but didn't see anything. Apart from the young woman who was sitting with her feet up on the opposite seat at the back of the bus - I could have got her boots and the sign saying "Please don't put your feet on the seats" into the same frame, but thought she might offer me a Kirkgate kiss.

Darkness having fallen (so early now!) I had to resort to taking a photo of the mug containing my tea. A splendid suggestion from Stewart Bremner, paraphrasing Alisdair Gray - but I'm finding it difficult to summon any enthusiasm at the moment.
