I'm almost finished with the twelve inch square painting of a Steller's Jay. I think I might call it "Jumping Jay" but I'm not quite sure yet. I have a bit of work yet to do on it but not too much. I want to keep it fresh feeling. My plan is to do a series of these, all quite small.
It was open studio today and as usual we all had a great day painting. We congratulated Trish on the wonderful poster the Tulip Festival made from her painting. The ceremony turned out to be jumbled and disoriented and they only gave Trish a minute to talk, kind of weird really. They spent most of the time praising supporters and venders at the event. Never mind. Trish's painting is one of the best ever for the festival poster.
