Fruit Sculpture

My friend Anthea celebrates her birthday on December 25th, so this year she had an early party. It was a good opportunity to catch up with various Uni friends from all round the UK (and saved on Christmas card postage too!). Just wish I'd felt a little more energised ... but by midnight I was more curling up on sofa than partying with the best of 'em.

A few of the assembled guests had clubbed together to buy this creation for Anthea, it looked beautiful and was even pretty healthy (it's not like there's LOADS of chocolate on a choc-dipped strawberry!) with pineapple, grapes and melon balls all featuring. All the skewers were held in place by being stabbed into a large iceberg lettuce surrounded by dark green curly Kale leaves so Anthea's guinea pigs ended up with a bonus treat too :)
