Gold and blue

After a couple of fairly dismal grey days, it was great to be out in brilliant sunshine at King's Dyke Nature Reserve this morning. The site was hosting a team meeting of the recently formed Natural England Field Unit - a great bunch of proper ecologists, something the organisation has been sadly lacking in recent years. They brought a drone with them to help get some decent aerial footage of the site, but a freshening wind meant that it was only possible to fly it early in the day. The second image shows the field unit arranging themselves for a drone team photograph!
