Beware Vegetarians!

We were woken up during the night by hailstones battering on the windows....it was so loud!!! Once I'd pulled up the blinds we weren't too surprised to see a light layer of snow mixed in with hail....... pretty chilly too!

We skipped breakfast with the intention of having an early lunch as soon as we got to Costco before doing our shopping....last trip this side of C*******s!!! The car park was covered in slush, massive puddles and cars!!!
Didn't expect it to be sooo busy!

The queues for food were longer than those at the tills, but luckily for us Costco had a stand selling a coffee and a slice of Victoria sponge for £1 in aid of Children in Need so that stood us in good stead ;-)

We got everything we needed including G White a few things for later in December (!) as well as our usual meat supply. Once we were home, I spent an hour or so trimming, bagging and labelling the beef, chicken, pork, bacon and sausages........and I assembled the "pigs in blankets" ......all ready for freezing! I'm just waiting for the current deluge to stop so I can go out into the garage where our chest freezer lives!!!

Pork saltimboca, potato rosti and peas for dinner later followed by a little treat......Creme Brûlée ;-)

Weather is supposed to be much better tomorrow, really hope so......want to get out for a walk with my camera !!!!

Wishing you all a good weekend
