Day 259- Mossman gorge/Daintree rainforest

Not really with it this morning , ended up catching flys on the bus on the way to the Aborgional teachings. Lucky enough to be shown by a member of a tribe how to apply clay for body paint from rocks, and how to use spears. This was in Daintree national park. I'm the way back our your guide Kacey caught a Golden orb spider. Slightly venomous. The female is way bigger than the male, and as soon as they mate the female eats the male haha. We had a little cruise along daintree river and spotted a croc climb up on to the bank, huge! We then headed to where we are staying.. the beach house. Cute little wooden shacks along the cape tribulation beach front. So lovely. Meta girl called Louisa who is doing the same as me for the next few days which was nice, we decided to walk to the one and only shop around here, turned out to be a 30 min walk haha but on the way back a guy asked us if we knew anywhere he could stay, so he gave us a lift back woo. We then went on the free beach tour with a guy called Louis. Turned out to be 2 hours haha but it was so good and so much to see what normally you would walk past. So many spiders and a peppermint stick insect, which gave off a peppermint smell when it feels intimidated. They are female only and to reproduce they make a clone of themselves. How crazy! Spotted some ghost crabs and we went to the pool out to spot black tip sharks, but didn't see any. Finished the evening eating coco pops and a cheeky bonfire on the beach.
