A moment of drama

above the vicarage.

I was up early to bake cheese scones for the church coffee morning and noticed a pink tinge in the sky. I popped out to the same bench as last week and caught this lovely colour. The vicarage and tree are two doors down from us but accessed on a different road.

Not long after it was raining and it has continued dark and dismal with either rain or sleet all day. Not many people came to the coffee morning, either the weather or the start of Christmas shopping may have put them off. Still all my cheese scones sold and so did most of the Green tomato and Rhubarb chutney that Chris had made for Christmas and taken along.

Stayed in all afternoon and watched some good rugby and written some cards. Happy not to be out in the cold and the start of the shopping frenzy.

On a lighter note last night's Mary Poppins was phenomenal. The staging itself was superb with some amazing dancing and singing. Tap dancing upside down is pretty impressive in my book! Loved it.
