Three Horse Power

I think I'm probably up there just under one of those tiny Shetland types when it comes to horsepower generated through my pedals. I did a quick check to see what a cyclist generates in HP terms, but didn't find a definitive answer. Lots of measurements in Watts though*, and I'm sure I hit at least a 60 watt bulb's worth at some points today.

Didn't intend to go out as far today, but it was one of those nice days and a nice new route and I had AC/DC playing along the way so just kept going until I hit the Co-op in Oakley for a reduced-for-quick-sale chicken wrap. I stopped back along the old railway route to eat and surf the internet for a bit and realised my bike is getting better specced than any car I've ever had (Open top, forward facing camera (to snap the fannies that think it's hilarious to chuck their litter at you as they pass in their tatty old Kia like today), leather seat, Sat-Nav, great OBE (On Bike Entertainment) audio system, internet access through optional laptop.

Now I have the house all to myself as everyone else is out socialising. Going to veg out and watch some crap telly. There's plenty of it.

*Someone with a lot of time on their hands worked out that it would take nearly 6.5 million Lance Armstrongs to produce the same power as a nuclear power station. That's a lot of lycra.
