All Washed Up

5.1C with plenty of sunshine with the sun occasionally hidden by cloud. Zephyr.

Grocery shopping over by mid morning. Maeve the Deerhound stayed at home.

We went the ten miles or so South to Southend then followed the road round past Dunaverty beach and Kiel to Carskey Bay where we had a wander with Maeve from one end of the beach to the other and back. The view over to the Antrim coast of Northern Ireland was the clearest we have seen it yet.

No beachcasting fisherman today, and the sea was very calm. At the far end of the beach there were a lot of small trees. logs, and branches washed up. Some small waves had started to break on the shore by the time we came back along to the car park. At Kiel there were a few seals bobbing about just offshore.

We had quite a late lunch and later there was chocolate cake.

Later still Apothecary7 was painting.
