Oban Bay, Kerrera, and The Isle of Mull

2.9C with sunny sunshine all day long. Zephyr.

We had a drive up the coast road to Oban (approx 2 hours + drive).
Frosty start and in shady places on the road heavy frost on the trees and on the ground.
Sub zero in a lot of places on the road up.
Incredibly clear air.

We stopped at the car park just North of Westport to look out at Islay and Jura.
Lots of snow on the mountains.
Looking South we could see snow on the top of the Mull of Kintyre.

Next stop Kilmartin glen and a walk with Maeve the Deerhound across to the standing stones nearest the car park at the bottom of the glen. Very frosty, although we have seen it frostier during October holidays.

Once we got to Oban we had a walk with Maeve, then put her back in the car so we could go for a wander and visit a few shops and have some lunch. The Cal Mac ferries in port were The Isle of Lewis and The Isle of Arran.

Later, on the journey back South, it was dark by the time we were approaching Tarbert.

Extra: Frost in Kilmartin Glen
